Shoprite – Data Science Bursary :2023

Purpose

Shoprite has established a thriving Data Science Academy that is churning out highly qualified data scientists. Successful candidates will be added to the academy pipeline. Shoprite is now looking for university students who have a passion for data and would like to use the data academy as their beginning point in an interesting career, with an aim to keep this academy expanding in the years to come.

Qualifications

Must have either a Degree or postgraduate qualification in the following :

• Data Science,
• Mathematics,
• Statistics,
• Operational Research,
• Quantitative Management (or similar quantitative degree),
• Computer Science,
• Industrial Engineering,
• Data Engineering

1. 60%+ Aggregate
2. A Minimum of 65% in Mathematics (from 2nd year of study)
3.  Students to be in 2nd to 4th academic year or Honours
4. – SA citizen
5. – 27 years old and younger
