Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing an efficient HR and employee relations function for the company in order to support the long-term business plans
•Managing all hiring and talent evaluation procedures while taking employment equity and talent management procedures into consideration. - Supporting the implementation of career and individual development plans;
- Facilitating the efficient onboarding and induction of new employees;
•Supporting the ongoing evolution of up-skilling strategies and initiatives by putting the training and development plan into practice in accordance with training budgets and scheduling needs.
•Ensuring efficient communication with pertinent parties, such as shop stewards and union representatives. - Assisting managers with one-on-one interactions and the management of underperformance, as well as facilitating the Performance Management process and promoting goal setting.

•Encouraging the completion of goal planning and the Performance Management process.
• Assisting managers with one-on-one interactions and addressing underperformance are additional services.
•Making sure that all pertinent legal standards are followed in order to reduce risk for the company
•Ensuring that the necessary statistical reporting and HR metrics are accurate and filed on time.
•Making sure that the integrity of the HR System is always maintained through correct data collection and regular audits.
•Assisting with any ad hoc and strategic projects as needed to rack regional employment. - Equity numbers and suggesting corrective actions as necessary
- Facilitating efforts for change management and employee engagement
- Provide leadership to the HR Team, strengthening competence to improve the contribution made.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial psychology, human resources, or a related field
•At least 5 years of management-level HR Generalist experience, with exposure to all aspects of HR and a track record of strong Business Partnering skills. - FMCG / Manufacturing experience will be advantageous
- Proven commercial acumen and experience in the sales and distribution area
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- Problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail
- MS Office, SAP, and people management system proficiency
- Strong conflict-management abilities and thorough understanding of the pertinent labor laws.
- A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel throughout the region, sometimes on short notice, are required. Additionally, you should have good planning and organizational skills and a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Finally, you should be willing to work in a trade (and on occasion after hours)
