Customer Service Field Technician

Job description 

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintaining downstream machinery and carton filling machines to maintain required capacity and quality.
• Maintaining operating waste under the necessary limits.
• Establishing and enhancing connections with machine users.
• Helping with brand-new development initiatives.
• Supplying acceptable levels of machine operability, availability, and reliability in relation to the mechanical part of the manufacturing to sustain sales.
• Managing and coordinating any engineering-related breakdowns, making sure issues are resolved as quickly as feasible.
• Cost reduction through efficient spares use and planned maintenance strategies.
• Management of work sheets and making sure they contain pertinent data.
• The process of overseeing compliance with the OHS Act and related rules of all machinery, lifting equipment, etc.
• Managing planned maintenance, which includes scheduling downtime, spare parts, and resources, as well as making that it is completed within set deadlines.

Requirements

Successful candidates should

1. A millwright trade qualification is ideal.
   possess at least three years’ worth of expertise filling cartons.
2. Possess the capacity to speak both English and Afrikaans with assurance.
3. Have good organizational and time-management skills.
4. Show initiative and self-sufficiency.
   possess highly developed problem-solving abilities.
5. Possess an active driver’s license.
6. Be ready to spend a lot of time away from home and travel far to see consumers.
7. Be prepared to put in extra time if necessary.
