Fitter and Turner

Job description 

To perform planned maintenance, condition monitoring, and work-arising responses to keep the machinery and equipment in the can manufacturing factory in perfect working order.
Perform planned maintenance on machinery and equipment in accordance with planned work orders.
To ensure quality workmanship on all maintenance, repairs, and installs performed Attend to all mechanical faults quickly and effectively according to priority to minimize downtime
After completing all maintenance work, carry out your duties safely and clean up the area.
Give production and the immediate supervisor prompt, appropriate feedback.
Fill out and deliver all required.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent, or Matriculation, N3 Mechanical
• Qualified fitter and/or turner (Proof of qualification needed)
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must be prepared to put in extra time as needed.
• Must be prepared to work shifts if necessary
