Dis-chem Casual Merchandiser

The purpose of this function is to guarantee that basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are followed and maintained.

Essential Minimum Requirements:

Matriculation / 12th grade
Retail experience of up to 6 months is required.
MS Office knowledge is required.
ready and willing to work retail hours
Advantageous:

1 year of retail experience is required.

Job Objective:

To achieve optimum sales, replenish products as needed.
Ensure that delivered stock/stock taken from the storeroom is stored and packed in the appropriate place on time.
Check that the stock on the shelf has not passed its sell-by date.
Ensure that the entire product line is always available on the shelves.

Competencies essential:

•English proficiency is required.
•Presentable
•Effective interaction with consumers, management, and employees
•Time management that is trustworthy and honest

Advantageous:

Bilingual knowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG business Product and category knowledge Ability to evaluate ZMORE reports for ordering and stock taking

Special working conditions:

•ready and willing to work retail hours
•Capable and physically fit to lift and move big items while adhering to health and safety regulations
•Reliable transportation and/or living close to the store
•South African national
Clean credit and criminal history
