Position Goal:
Through a structured 24-month training program, the Young Professional in Training Program’s goal is to create a pipeline for critical positions within Transnet Port Terminals (TPT). Young Professionals are to be placed in the program as based on their academic background, professional goals, and company needs, particular areas within TPT.
Position results
Follow a structured training program
undergo performance evaluations and assessments every 6 (six) months
submit monthly reports
carry out all tasks outlined in his or her growth plan as well as any others that Transnet Port Terminals may reasonably require of him or her.
Competencies & Experience:
Bachelor of Laws with a concentration in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Information Technology, or a Diploma in Information Technology (LLB)
Competencies:
Must possess above-average computer skills
must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
must be organized well and be able to handle multiple tasks
must be able to conduct research
must be able to work well in a team environment; must possess good interpersonal skills
must possess a professional attitude and a willingness to learn
must possess good time management.
NB: Candidates who reside in the eThekwini Municipality will be given preference.
