The goal of the Position
The Environmental Sustainability (ES) Intern’s job is to provide administrative assistance to the Sustainability Department by carrying out duties that further the department’s overall objectives, including but not restricted to:
Job Purposes
Perform waste audits at various locations. Visit stores to collect statistics and information on specific areas (such as waste and energy usage).
Look into ways to keep organic waste out of landfills.
To learn current processes and procedures, interview staff at multiple locations.
assemble information and data into a report.
Qualifications
Grade 12 (essential)
a diploma or degree in a related field, such as engineering, science, supply chain management, or waste management (essential)
Experience
Being familiar with the retail or FMCG industries would be advantageous (desired)
an understanding of waste management
