GOAL OF THE JOB

The General Worker will assist the Maintenance Team by effectively maintaining equipment, helping with welding, fitting, and electrical work, and being dependable while following protocols and codes and making use of all available support resources to keep equipment stable and sustainable. In addition to increasing the sustainability of Directional Drilling, the Directional Drilling General Worker will support the Directional Drilling Team by effectively assisting with Directional Drilling while following protocols and rules.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

Grade 12 or Matric or N3 or NCV Level 4

Operational Results

In charge of employing the flux core method and additional welding techniques to weld mining equipment.
In charge of making sure welding equipment is operated safely
Use oxy-fuel gas cutting equipment to cut and pre-heat materials while adhering to gas safety regulations.
Help operate lifting apparatus and overhead cranes in accordance with safe work practices.
Fill out the checklist and job-specific tasks precisely.
Visual inspection of the workplace to make sure safety regulations are followed and to report any hazardous situations to the superior.
usage of COPs and SOPs tailored to a certain work to guarantee adherence to housekeeping requirements.

As a team, work effectively and efficiently to accomplish team goals.

Keep track of all task activity.

Task risk evaluations and hazard identification.

Attends daily morning meetings to talk about work-related tasks.
