SABC Internship for 2023

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To locate, propose, research, inquire, plan, and record pertinent audio-visual material for complex stories for radio, television, and digital / online media, as well as to produce news and current affairs reports and stories that are fair, accurate, and engaging for the target audiences.
Important Accountabilities
As allocated, start and cover stories.
Provide top-notch voiceovers and scripts for on-air broadcasts.
Investigate, research, and break news.
preserve specific priority areas (e.g. crime).
Provide insightful and well-researched commentary on packaged content and live crossings.
Verify the veracity, quality, and facts of the stories and content.
Plan and set up interviews.
Respect the broadcast and story deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

National Diploma or Degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or an appropriate equivalent (NQF 6 or 7).
