Motus General Worker

Requirements:

Grade 12 literacy and numeracy are equivalent.
Desirable: At least three years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Knowledge of spare parts, motors, and engines, storage systems, and procedures
Requirements for this position include efficiency, accuracy, focus, attention to detail, and numeracy and literacy skills.
Self-motivated and prepared to go the additional mile.
Must be a team player
Physically fit
Honest and demonstrate integrity.
Clear criminal record is one of the Key Performance Indicators, along with others.

Binning

Ensure the binning of incoming merchandise and the replenishing of inventory from bulk to pick locations is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures and specifications
Ensure new products are assigned bin location numbers in the relevant warehouse area

Ensure bins are updated and merchandise allocated to new bin locations are reported to and updated by your superior.
Assist with replenishment functions
Ensure all incoming goods are received and examined in accordance with corporate requirements.

Picking

Ensure that customer and branch orders are picked timely to meet order cut-off times.
Picking from bulk locations should only be done as an alternate bin when stock is exhausted and not refilled during the picking phase, or when picking bulk orders to avoid pack size breakdown.
Carry out any reasonable and lawful instructions on work given to you by your superior.
Follow all required procedures to increase effective client satisfaction.
Assist with stock taking procedures.
Ensure that housekeeping is done every day.
