FirstRand Limited Bursaries 2023: (People of color urged to apply)

FirstRand Limited.

FirstRand is providing a bursary that will assist talented candidates with their undergraduate studies. This is an open program that accepts individuals from different backgrounds to cover their studying tuition. FirstRand Limited is here to assist you financially while pursuing your studies. This is to ensure you are awarded for your good results.

These Bursaries are offered for candidates who are looking into the careers below:

1. Science programs (actuarial science, electronics, climate science, agricultural science, bioscience, data science, renewable energy, environmental science, statistics, indigenous knowledge systems, mathematical science, physics)
2. Technology programs ( information technology, information systems, computer science, business information systems, information management, information science)
3. Commerce programs (Law, economics, accounting, financial management, risk analysis)
4. Engineering programs (All disciplines are welcome)

Requirements: (before applying, make sure you meet the requirements, failure to do so, your application won’t even be considered)

• You must be a South African citizen
• Recognized as a person of color
• Must not be over the age of 21 when beginning your first year of studies.
• Must have a Matric certification not older than 3 years or currently in Matric.
• Mathematics with a level 5 symbol
• A good academic record
• Planning on studying full-time (undergraduate degree) in one of the fields mentioned above.
• Must be enrolled to study at a South African Public university for the year 2023
• Your family’s gross income should be between R350000 and R600000 combined per year

Additionally, you will need the following documentation :

• Copy of ID
• National Senior Diploma
• Official proof of your parent’s income /death certificate
• Consent form
• An ID picture of yourself
• Proof of registration/acceptance
• Proof of address

How will you be chosen?

Your application will be looked at by the whole committee which will see if all the information you put down was correct, make sure that you put in the correct information. The committee will not pass your information around and will keep it confidential.
