Eskom Technical Official (Distribution )

Minimum requirements

Qualifications: matric with Maths and Science/NCV4/NSC3/N3 Engineering at NQF4 level with 120 credits

Minimum experience: 2 years. Distribution network operation and maintenance

Emergency Response and Safety
Basic health, safety, and environment.
Tools and specialty equipment.
Low and high voltage systems (up to 33kV)

Line construction at high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) levels
Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS
Metre worker certification
Single-phase tester
Crane operating
Mobile elevating platform operates
Auger drill in operation.
Rock drill is operational.

Skill: PDP (Public Driver’s Permit).
Valid driver’s licence, EC/EB/C1.
Safety Management
Basic workshop.
Communication
Healthy interpersonal relationships
LV authorization
Key Responsibilities

Perform breakdown maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance.
Perform minor construction tasks.
Maintain health and safety.
Provide client assistance
