Minimum specifications

• Requirements:

A Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science orNCV4 or NSC3 or N3 Engineering at NQF4 with 120 credits.
• Experience with operating and maintaining a 2 Yeas Distribution network.
Competences and Skills

• Valid driver’s licence or public driver’s permit (PDP). EC/EB/C1
• Safety management training • Basic workshop
• Effective communication • Positive interpersonal relationships • Authorised by LV
Leadership: Coaching, Mentoring, and Team Development
• Collaborate in teams to achieve a common goal • Lead and empower team members
Behavioural characteristics include integrity, customer focus, professionalism, and a focus on results.
Knowledge of Eskom standards, processes, instructions, and guidelines.
• Thorough knowledge of power plant transformers, auxiliary equipment, and switchgear.
• Safety and reaction during emergencies
• Knowledge of health, safety, and the environment. • Access to tools and specialised equipment. • Experience with LV and HV systems up to 132kV.

Construction of high, medium, and low voltage lines requires authorization under the Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) conclusion 6.
• Certification for metre workers

• Single phase tester

• Crane operation

• Mobile elevating platform operation

• Auger and rock drill

• Perform breakdown maintenance.
