About the programme

The YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme is a business-led partnership with the government that aims to reduce unemployment by giving young people the chance to acquire new skills and gain valuable workplace experience, which will, in turn, greatly increase their chances of finding long-term future employment.

Who can apply for the programme

(South Africans which)

  • the ages between 18 and 29 are acceptable
  • own a matric diploma,
  • are unemployed,
  • were born in South Africa and fall under the BBBEE Act’s definition of “black people,” and
  • have never before taken part in a YES program with another organization.

Where will it take place

The Nedbank quality work experience program will be situated at Nedbank’s numerous sites, branches, and offices across the nation; however, some positions may allow for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
Nedbank YES teenagers may be required to work weekdays or according to a shift schedule, which may include weekends and public holidays, depending on the division, role, and employment requirements. As a result, YES youth will need to have access to transportation to get to and from their jobs.
