To deliver service excellence through the effective point of sale (POS) operating activities, efficient customer service, and in-store merchandising that enhances the customer experience.
Objectives
- To promptly and effectively complete all operational tasks at the point of sale.
- Must continue to operate with high levels of accuracy while scanning goods, collecting payments, and processing clubcard benefits.
- Should always guarantee that currency is handled safely.
- In order to meet the clubcard participation goals, it is important to actively market the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members.
- To inform clients about sales in order to increase sales and ensure that they “feel good and spend less.”
- By serving as a brand ambassador, being visible, and providing a welcoming and knowledgeable service, to provide outstanding customer service.
- To effectively carry out and maintain all general cleaning and merchandising tasks in accordance with store and visual merchandise standards.
- To live and promote the corporate values in order to achieve the Group’s objective of becoming the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
- Keeping up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, specials, and events in order to always give customers accurate information.
Knowledge
- Simple mathematical calculations
- Background in retail/FMCG and comprehension of the fundamentals of marketing and promotions
- Knowledge of stock management techniques
- Understanding of excellent customer service
Skills
- Skills in organization and planning
- Aptitude for solving issues
- A strong commitment to the consumer
- Strong communication abilities
- Knowledge about computers
- Talents with numbers
Minimum Requirements
- Experience working with customers in a retail or FMCG store environment is preferred.
- Required: Grade 12
- Math and English at a 50% level are preferred.
