Job description:
Accountable for verifying the accuracy of and performing reconciliations on daily transactions between two financial systems. daily balancing of the inventory records.
Requirements
- Matric/NQF4
- Relevant tertiary financial education is required.
- Previous work in a related position would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently in a collaborative setting and accept accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Computer literate with experience in the MS Office suite and moderate Excel skills (Formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Reconcile information/data between two financial systems on a daily basis, accurately comparing and doing so.
- Identify and correct differences between the two systems
- Reconcile stock balances and internal system variances and report on them
fixing any potential issues that were discovered during the fault-finding - Review control reports every day, note deviations, and create new reports as needed.
- Continue to communicate with internal and outside departments to address discrepancies discovered in control reports.
- Assist with outside inquiries about transactions, stock fluctuations, and account discrepancies
- Any additional ad hoc financial duties to support the team
